Infant & Toddler Quality Improvement Program

The Infant & Toddler Quality Improvement Program is designed to provide training, technical assistance and mentoring to providers of infant and toddler care.

Through this program, each child care resource and referral agency in the state provides their geographic area with an Infant & Toddler (I/T) Specialist who is responsible for enhancing services to child care programs that serve children birth to three.

The I/T Specialists are professionals that are strategically placed in the local area so that they can work closely with existing quality improvement programs.

Available Services Include:

  • Ongoing training in the care and development of infants and toddlers.

  • On-site technical assistance.

  • A lending library with age-specific information of infants and toddlers.

  • Training and support to caregivers serving children with special needs.

  • Mentoring with accredited and comprehensive programs.

  • Networking with Health professionals.

  • Access to information for parents of infants and toddlers regarding child development and child care issues through www.flchild.com
