Child Care Centers

In Central Florida, to operate legally, child care providers and facilities must meet minimum standards. Numerous health and safety standards exist.

All licensed Child Care Centers are inspected on a quarterly basis by the Office of Licensure and Certification at the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF).

Included in the standards are staff to child ratios. The required ratio differs depending on the ages of the children in care.
